September's newsletter arrives with milestones earned and a full fall calendar ahead. CEDO partnered with cities, property owners, and utility partners across Lane County to co-author applications for Business Oregon's $25 million Industrial Site Loan Fund before the September 4 deadline, with Cottage Grove and Creswell both submitting, and Regional Infrastructure Fund applications for communities under 25,000 still open through September 16. On the coast, Florence is demonstrating what integrated rural economic development looks like, with the new Elm Park Apartments and Early Learning Center addressing both housing and childcare in a region where 350 people competed for 32 affordable units and fewer than a quarter of young children had access to a childcare slot. Closer to home, Latino Professionals Connect marks its 10th anniversary on October 7 at the Springfield Area Chamber, celebrating a decade of community building that grew from a monthly networking night into a network drawing attendees from across Oregon. Bridge Lane is also returning for another year, made possible through new support from the Ford Family Foundation and continued investment from Lane County Community and Economic Development and Lane Workforce Partnership.
